The Green bar/restaurant
The Green bar/restaurant is designed with a flexible setting for a restaurant, bar and a function venue. The design follows the principals of movement (as the core DNA of our studio) and a green living biopholic system with considerations to the choice of material, light and ventilation. The exposure to green elements in the interior and exterior of the building is combined with an element of exploration and fun throughout the building.
I designed this project in response to the impacts of Covid and the lockdowns on Melbourne and international hospitality sector with a focus on structure, material selection and landscape. The interior is designed with organic and natural material with a strong contrast with the iconic facade of the building. The designed ramp in the exterior of the building allows the public to access the rooftop event when the restaurant is not operating.
